London Fashion Week 2013. Pronta A Partire

After New York, now is the turn of the British capital. From September 13 to 17 Somerset House it will also host this year’s London Fashion Week.

The iconic cultural center of Somerset House will become the principal for five days of this important international event rich set of new initiatives. London Fashion Week begins today: the appointment expects more than 5,000 press officers and buyers from 52 countries.

The protagonists are the collections for next spring summer 2014 that will be presented in a full calendar of events and parades.

Non mancheranno i top designer della moda inglese come Burberry, Paul Smith, Tom Ford, Mulberry e Adidas by Stella McCartney. Per la prima volta a calendario quest’anno i designer Manolo Blahnik e Smythson.

Several novelties of this edition to also involve “non-experts” and share with all the fans the great excitement surrounding the British capital during the fashion week.

Events, temporary shops, social media initiatives and live streaming are just some of the activities The British Fashion Council(the body which organizes London Fashion Week each year) has planned to celebrate London as the world capital of creativity.

Among the main initiatives:

FashionFriday: every Friday will broadcast short news on the screens of the London Underground by offering exclusive content and latest news from the world of fashion.Londoners and tourists are invited to participate through social media using the hashtag #FashionFriday.

The Shop: a pop-up store will be open to the public Friday, September 13 at Somerset House.At the Shop you can buy pieces from the collection autumn winter 2013 of Markus Lupfer brands, Bella Freud, Sophia Webster, Prism, DJ by Dominic Jones, Zoe Jordan, Lulu & Co. and House of Holland. Inside the shop will also be held a series of events including flash sales, musical performances, readings and interviews with celebrity guests.

Social Media Wall: a screen will bring regular updates on fashion shows, backstage and the latest news. All are invited to participate by sharing their own Fashion Week through the hashtag #LFW.

Instabooth: the street style is part of every self-respecting fashion week. To celebrate the most creative look of the London Fashion Week, BFC through a partnership with Instagram will insert a Instabooth Somerset House giving visitors the opportunity to photograph their look, print pictures as souvenirs and share their best shots on Facebook.
The BFC will publish profiles on Facebook and Instagram London Fashion Week photos with the best look by using the hashtag #LFW and #InstaBooth.

Twitter: for the first time different show will be streamed event’s official Twitter account.
