Tolland County is located in the northeast corner of Connecticut, bordered by Massachusetts to the north and east, and the Connecticut River to the south. The county has a population of 154,000 people and covers an area of 521 square miles. According to, its history dates back to 1785 when it was incorporated from Hartford County.
