Sussex County, Delaware Weather
Sussex County is located in the southern part of Delaware, and is one of the three counties that make up the state. It is bordered by Kent County to the north, and Maryland to the south. The county seat is Georgetown, and its largest town is Seaford. As of 2019, Sussex County had a population of 225,715 people. According to theinternetfaqs.com, the area was first explored in 1608 by John Smith and later settled by English colonists in 1629. During this time it was known as Deale County, which was later changed to Sussex County in 1754. The county played an important role during the American Revolutionary War as a key supply point for General George Washington’s troops.
