Hancock County, West Virginia is located in the Northern Panhandle of the state, directly across the Ohio River from Pennsylvania and Ohio. It is bordered to the east by Brooke County and to the west by Marshall County. With a population of just over 30,000 people, Hancock County is one of the smallest counties in West Virginia.
